E. Lebleu searches to give shape to certain states of being through
minimal songs created with acoustic instruments, field recordings and
electronics; he makes fickle post-folk cinematic landscapes that pretends
to emulate individual stories. Sonic escapism full of nostalgia, warm an
impressionist. An ancient story told in few minutes. Like intimate lullabies.
Gamboa used to live in Guadalajara. Now he lives in Mexico City,
where he recently recorded "Two Years Off" with Childs (Static),
a clear-cut ambient and folk album that will nudge those who like
Kpt.michi.gan, Dub Tractor, Ogurusu Norihide, and Fonica.

"A magic album..."

"Gamboa plays nice organic music that has it's clear roots in folk
music, but updated to the age of computer, treating all the various
sounds into detailed and microscopic yet filmic pictures in sound.
If this guy would have lived in London, he could surely be on the
next hype..."
VITAL WEEKLY (NL)

"'Two Years Off' has two sides, one with a folk approach based on
song structures where emerges the voice of Gamboa and the other
is dedicated to ambient where the field recordings and processed
noises arise. In my opinion this last vein of Gamboa’s music is the
most interesting one, because it causes to the
listeners an special mood for reflection..."
LOOP (CL)

"One may not think to look south of the border for quality ambient
acts, but E.lebleu proves that such things exist and will have you
scouring old ambient mailing list digests for more of the like."
